A few weeks ago we did the dreaded PACER TEST. The pacer test is where you run back and forth until you can’t breath. No one likes it but we “have" to do it.
I (Vivian G) interviewed Mr. Wheeler and a few other students.
Vivi: Do we have to do the pacer test?
Mr. Wheeler: Yes, the pacer test does have a meaning. It is to see the kids progression and see how much they have improved fitness wise.
Students:
Hazel
Vivi: How do you feel about the pacer test?
Hazel: I hate it.
Vivi: Do you think that we should be doing the pacer test?
Hazel: No
Charlotte
Vivi: How do you feel about the pacer test?
Charlotte: I like it but sometimes you run out of breath.
Vivi: Do you think that we should be doing the pacer test?
Charlotte: I think so.
Elle
Vivi: How do you feel about the pacer test?
Elle: I understand why we do it but we should not do it because running causes a ton of injuries.
Vivi: Do you think that we should be doing it?
Elle: No, again I understand why we do it but that is better ways.
Therefore we “should” be doing it, and we do need it.
